Rocking around the Christmas tree
Today, Christmas really started at St Laurence's when we put up our class Christmas trees. We had the added surprise this year of new ornaments for the trees - baubles featuring photo of each child. Everyove found their own personalised ornament and hung it on the tree. It was such fun.... Fa la la la la la la la la...............

Maths Week 2019
The whole school took part in a Maths Trail, which took them through the village and deep into the Phoenix park, collecting facts and completing a range of Maths activities along the way - well done to all teams!

Our new Junior Infants....
We are so thrilled to welcome our new Junior Infants Class 2019 to St Laurence's. They've all settled in so well.... We're so proud of them... Well done Junior Infants!!
Our New SET Teacher
We are delighted to welcome Miss Laura Buckley as our new SET teacher, taking over from Miss Whelan.
Miss Whelan is now junior room class teacher and acting deputy principal.
Miss O'Shea remains as senior room class teacher while taking on the role of acting principal.
JUNIOR ROOM 2019-20
We have 14 pupils in our junior room from Junior Infants to 2nd Class looking forward to a wonderful year of fun and learning..............
SENIOR ROOM 2019-20
Our 14 pupils in the senior room from 4th to 6th class have a wonderful year ahead with some special educational trips and, for the first time, St Laurence's Senior Room Choir will take part in Peace Proms 2020!
All this along with their curriculum work will make this a busy yet exciting year.....
St Laurence's goes 'paperless'.........
In an effort to cut down on the amount of paper and ink used, we have introduced some new initiatives here at the school. Firstly, with the much appreciated agreement of parents, we will from now on be issuing permission slips and school information via email. We appreciate it will take effort on parents' part to check for emails and reply but we are delighted with your co-operation.
In addition, we have set up a new 'Ink-free' News Section on our website. Here you will be able to find all the up to date news on current and future happenings at the school. Do take the time to check in from time to time!! Ink-Free News
